FN Herstal v. Jag Precision Lawsuit Summary
Jan 24 2012 09:38 AM | greatwatermelon in Airsoft-Barracks News

Just read the legal document that a friend found and shared with me... Complaint for Patent Infringement 'FN Herstal, S.A. et. al. v. Jag Precision' filed on Jan. 10, 2012.
The Cybergun and FNH products that the defendant JAG Precision imitated was 'Vega Force Company MK16 Light Version in FDE,' 'Vega Force Company MK16 Light Version in Black,' 'Echo1 Advanced Squad Carbine,' 'Echo1 Advanced Squad Carbine HEAVY (ASC-H) in Black,' 'Vega Force Company MK17 in FDE,' and 'Echo1 Advanced Squad Carbine HEAVY (ASC-H).'
The plaintiff FNH states that they have suffered $75,000 worth in damages and demands the defendant JAG Precision to pay "up to 3 times the amount of actual damages or assessed as appropriate under 35 U.S.C. Section 284." Also, "A judgment and order requiring corrective advertising to remedy the actual and potential customer confusion in the marketplace to due to Defendant's unlawful acts;"
That's a total of... $225,000 and advertising... Add that to Echo1/JAG's shaming at Shot Show 2012.

BREAKING NEWS! JAG/Echo1 Booth Shut Down @...

LAS VEGAS, NV: 19 January 2012 Thumpy’s 3D House of Airsoft has learned that SHOT Show officials are closing down the JAG Precision/ECHO 1 USA booth on the show floor, and are escorting company personnel from the site of the 2012 show over a temporary restraining order from CYBERGUN S.A. and FN Herstal.
The shutdown is allegedly resulting from not one but TWO lawsuits filed against JAG, first in Texas on January 10, and the second filed here in Nevada on the opening day of SHOT Show, January 17. Online records from those filings allege Patent Infringment by the popular California-based airsoft business from the largest holder of airsoft licensing agreements in the world.
SHOT Show media respresentatives are working on a statement, but did confirm that the vendor was being closed down after General Counsel for the NSSF, presenters of the SHOT Show, were made aware of a temporary restraining order from CYBERGUN representatives on Friday morning.
At midday, the JAG Precision and ECHO 1 USA booth was screened off by curtains, as company personnel including wildly-popular American YouTuber Brian Holt, were tearing down their displays.
Security personnel would not allow accredited media representatives to ask questions of JAG officials inside the display, and referred all questions to the SHOT Show media office, where we have place a query for an official response from the NSSF General Counsel’s office.

The previously announced TT-33, HK45, 945C pistols as well as the upcoming AKR ERG (Electric Recoil Gun) Series have passed field-testing and are in production for a spring release.
SHOT Show 2012 attendees who visit the KWA booth at SHOT (Booth 20515 – Level 2 Law Enforcement & Tactical Gear Section) will get a sneak peek of the near-production KWA KRISS Vector GBB prototype. Law enforcement and military professionals will appreciate the authentic replication of the external controls down to the field stripping procedures. The KWA KRISS Vector is undergoing extensive field-testing, with production and delivery scheduled for this summer. Street price for the KWA KRISS Vector GBB is estimated to be below $400.
Delivery for the TT-33 and HK45 is scheduled for the end of first quarter with an expected street price of $134.95 and $164.95 respectively. The AKR series will also be available during second quarter. Two configurations are planned for release: the standard AKR-74 and the compact AKR-74SU. Included in the AKR series rifles will be KFS (Kinetic Feedback System), KWA’s newest electric technology allowing users to experience simulated recoil with every shot fired. Pricing for the AKR-74 and the AKR-74SU has not been finalized but can be expected to be below $300

Silverback Airsoft PP-19 Bizon coming VERY soon
Jan 06 2012 06:43 AM | Horsem4n in Community News
Info from Red Alliance:
Full Steel
V3 Gearbox
polymer 160 round Midcap mag (mags are going to be around 25USD)
Skeleton side folding stock
standard AK universal rail
the gun is going to be around 300USD. there is some speculation that it will be released as a kit (like the GWS), but i think it will be a full gun. Silverback is a HK based airsoft company and 300 sounds about right for a production replica from HK companies.
the release date is set for spring... this spring. and all we have of the product is a prototype body in pieces:
