I think most of the people that joined up in the first few days (myself being one of them) heard through Arnies, because we had our own little thread over there.  I remember some tin foil hats being involved.

I heard about the forum through Doc, he called the shop one day and I ended up talking to him about ASB.

I had taken a long 5 month vacation from anything airsoft including the forums, then within a week of me coming back OS hit. I joined ASB right away, I think I was 10th or 11th member. So it was a smooth transition for the most part.

I joined up immediantly after ASB was created after "OS." I think it was a link I saw on ASF in the "Websites" section.
