So, it has been out nearly 3 years now, and I have always liked Sigs and I have been lightly following the ICS Sig since its announcement 3 years ago. Around that time it was around 340 dollars at most in state retailers, the price has droped down to 200 dollars?
I have heard mixed reviews about small things like the charging handles coming off to easy. Well, id like to get other peoples thoughts or opions. The good, the bad, and the one more things.
Thoughts or Impressions on ICS Sig 551/552

i couldnt fit a battery in the 552. its lipo or nothing in that guy.
otherwise, i like them. the charging handel thing happens when you let off the bolt catch. so just be careful when your adjusting the hopup.

Dose it take standard Marui mags?

I have heard that it come from releasing the bolt catch, and it usualy doesnt fall off on its own. Regardless, the part can be bought for 6 dollars on evike.

I have the 552.
Shot pretty well. I think it's pretty power hungry. Gearbox would benefit from some tuning.
The bolt handle likes to fly out for no reason.
I expoxied mine in so it wouldn't be an issue. I don't get why you'd ever need to remove the handle in the first place.
the battery space is small. The handguards wobble a bit. i used tape as shims and they feel nicer. They sell RIS systems for 40 bucks that would probably work great.
Upper reciever is stamped steel.
Lower and rest of gun is some sort of potmetal. Seems plenty solid.
If i wanted a sig, i'd definetley get it. Overall i think it's a very nice gun.
i am interested in selling mine so let me know if you are interested.

Can we leave the offers to the sale threads or PM's? It seems like every time someone posts a which gun thread, a guy posts "well, I have xxxx for sale similar to yyyy gun you are looking for..... "

I had a 551. i miss it. that might just be because i got scammed out of it, but thats a different story for another time. my 551 has been through 4 different people in a period of 2-3 years and the charging handle isnt broken yet (someone fell on the stock, but hey, what stock wouldnt be broken if you fell on it?). It doesnt use marui mags (i forget exactly why, but it wont. i dont even think heavy modding will fix it) so MAG mids are out of the question. My vote is go for it (my piston stripped in it, but i blame that on user error)
so other than that piston thing, nothing has really happened noteworthy, and IIRC, once that piston got replaced, it hasnt screwed up since.
