Hey Jon or Doc, I just wanted to know if you are hiring soon, as I am turning 15 in April, just passed Drivers Ed, Live 20 minutes away, and need a job soon, to rase my own money for a car and insurance.

I am a very mature person, serious when I need to be, and get along wth other people fine. I enjoy working as a team too, and also use manners. I am hard working and homeschooled with online corses, so I can twist my schedule to fit the store's schedule and to legal standards. If these traits are the ones you are looking for and thinking about hiring, please say so.

If not, say so. I understand if you don't need to, or you need to hire someone older who needs the money to pay for his/her home and food for their family. Please post soon.

-thanks, Joshua

um, I'm not sure a public forum is the best place to ask for a job. If you want to ask about a job opportunity you'd have better luck walking into the store and talking to him about it in person.

correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there something illegal about working at an airsoft store if your under 18? or is it that he wouldn't just not be able to finalize sales for the airsoft guns?

I'm sure they'll be looking for jobs once the online store is up and they need help with shipping and packaging. You probably don't need to be 18 to put stuff in a box.

I believe its totally legal. As far as I know, the federal law (I've heard its not even a law, but a practice among airsoft dealers) that you have to be 18 to purchase one.

I currently hold the position of working in an Airsoft store as a minor. I having working papers in my school, state, and workplace. I pretty much do everything except for cashier. From stocking stuff, to preparing and testing airsoft guns for sale.

And also, since I got my job, tons of other kids have been asking if they could get a job. They were asking in inappropriate places such as the Facebook page for our store. This is also not the right place to ask for a job. Make sure you do it privately in person, over a phone call, or e-mail.

If Airsoft-Barracks was hiring, I wouldn't doubt Doc would put up a "Now Hiring" notice somewhere on the forum.

From what I've been told by my employer, I am not allowed to touch any gun if it is unboxed for any reason, as that is illegal.

There's no federal law that requires you to be 18 to buy an airsoft gun (state and local laws may say otherwise). Dealers just require that buyers be 18 as a measure to cover their own ***** and out of common sense.

just talk to John or Doc when you go to the store. Bring it up casually and be respectful about it and don't push it. Also be persistent. If you ask every time you go in(don't be a prick about it, just ask i and let it go) they'll remember that and be more likely to hire you.

remember, most places want to hire somebody who wants to work there, not somebody who just needs a job.

Ya, I both need and WANT a job, and I would really love it if I could be around something I like, such as airsoft. And plus its 20 minutes from my house.
