Hey how many WWII AS reenactors here! I have been involved since 03 when just the Thompson was the only game in town. Now my collection is expanding and so are the impressions. Currently I am snooping & pooping in the woods as a Russian with a captured MP44. Looking to get an Ares PPSH41 and the new Zeta-Labs Mosin Nagant.
I make full size plastic machine guns with AS guts, like the M1917 watercooled Browning 30 cal.
Now I found a great new AS gun, ZB26. It could easily be converted to a Bren Gun, time to do a Brit!
I live in the Frozen zone of the midwest, can't wait till spring. They call me TooTall, that's my radio name.
That's right I'm a DJ.

Not a lot of WW2 airsofters here. We have Andy who is a moderator in the chatroom, and Cogdill who is in the Northwest. There are a few others but they haven't really made names for themselves yet.

Got a link to some of your work?

I considered doing Chinese WWII reenacting/living history, but figured I wasn't dedicated enough to airsoft to justify building a Vz.24 mockup. Right now I'm considering doing Russian WWII reenacting with real guns.

Dude you need to reconsider! Stick to airsoft! There are WWII Russian airsoft units and the weapons are just coming out that are excellent. I can hook you up with some great sites for uniform and equipment needs.
Right now I'm working on my WWII Russian impression and going totally airsoft! I have a basic snipers cammo uniform and I am using a captured German MP44. But with ARES PPSH41 and Zeta-Labs Mosin Nagant now I can do a pure Russian. Where are you at?

On wnyal we have a very small group slowly forming for WWII Airsoft, prolly late spring is when a lot of us we be buying kit and perfecting our loadout's. you should probably register and talk to our man, more minds on it the better off it is.

Oh yea we would love more links, try and keep the cost down as much as possible.

I'm in Maryland.

I've got a lot of other shooting pursuits that demand my money, so I'll just use real guns. Plus, I can sling lead at the range with them afterwards.

I did WW2 reenactment with the 197th guard unit out of St. Augustine. We shot real guns with blanks at each other. In fact I mostly had an open mind toward airsoft because of it. Now I'm all airsoft. I wish there were more airsoft reenactments, it would make games around here a little more rpg'ish but none the less fun :D
