I can’t believe, it has been 8 years since the attacks occurred.

Please, take a moment in your time today, to remember those that lost their lives during the attacks of 9/11

Remember the 343 Firefighters, that lost their lives, responding to the WTC.

Remember the 125 Lives lost at the Pentagon.

Remember the 246 Innocent Lives lost, on the 4 planes.

Remember the 2,603 Citizens that died in the Towers as the plane struck, and the towers fell.

Remember the bravery of the Passengers on United Flight 93. They sacrificed their lives, to save many others and brought the plane down before it could strike another target.

The 23 NYPD Police Officers that lost their lives, 37 Port Authority Police, 8 EMT’s and Paramedics from Private EMS Units.

All of these people, were just carrying on their normal day. Flying home, Sitting in their Office, waiting for 5pm. Just like us.

Let us never forget the lives lost, and the sacrifices made on this Date.

I remember them, and I will never forget them.

Also, I believe that the bow section of the USS New York, an Arleigh Burke class ship, was made with recycled metal from the World Trade Center Towers.

Wait, you were in NYC 8 years ago? I was (and still am) in SoCal. I remember waking up and wondering why my mom was so upset. I didn't realize at the time that so many people had died. I was really ignorant. It wasn't until my mom told me in a way that I could understand that I realized that an atrocity had occurred on US soil.

9/11/09, a day that shall never be forgotten. I would like to extend a big thanks to all firefighters, EMT's, Medical Personnel, Military men and women, and Law Enforcement Officers. I would also like to extend my sincerest condolences to the families and friends of those who lost loved ones in the World Trade Centers, and would like to wish them the best in all that they do.

Unfortunately, all our school did for this was a moment of silence (which really wasn't that silent thanks to the absolute idiots at my school) and a video was shown in American Civics about a firehouse that sent it's firefighters to help with the World Trade Center, in which I was the only one truly watching. I even punched a kid in the face today because he said there wasn't anything special about today, and he didn't get why everyone was making a big deal...Gotta love the public school system...

In school today we watched a 5 minute video on it. It talked about what happened and when, and how like 60,000 people were saved because of being evacuated. We watched both planes hit both towers, and we watched clips of people jumping from the buildings. I don't really remember anything on the day it happened though because I was in 1st grade. God bless all the innocent people who died that day, and the people who gave their lives to save others.

Oh man... how can I forget that day. I came home in fourth grade to my mom and dad worrying over what was going on in the news. I never really understood the absolute full meaning of that attack until middle school... I can only imagine the panic that all of my grade school teachers felt when they heard of the attack.

God bless everyone who died on that fateful day. God bless America.

God be with the emergency workers who lost their lives that day, and their families...for every husband, wife, son, daughter, father and mother who never came home that day.
For all my brothers and sisters in EMS, fire, and the police, we will never forget you.
"Step forward now you firefighter,
You've borne your burdens well,
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

My mom knew some people that died from when she worked in Manhattan. We went to the WTC when i was 3 and we have some amazing pictures from inside it. Coolest buildings that ever existed.

Thanks to all for the support and memorials. Hopefully, with diligence and watchfulness, this will be a standalone event that will never happen on American soil again. My hat is off to the victims, emergency workers, and families of everyone affected.

Wow, very well done video.

Always seems strange to think back every year to the events that happened then. I can remember exactly what I was doing when I first heard the news. Can't say I can do that for much else. May we all remember and continue supporting those that defend our country every day.
